Designed by Andrew S. Rubin, Ph.D., CMT brand therapy is a clinical intervention initially designed for young adults with autism. CMT brand therapy treatments are rooted in the latest scientific literature integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, developmental theory, and neuropsychology into an evidenced based treatment approach. The success of the model has widened its scope of use to a broader population of young adults (with and without developmental delay).
The CMT brand therapy approach helpsto prepare young adults for an independent life. It brings together therapeutic services including psychology and psychiatry, vocational training, academic support services, and life management skills training into a comprehensive service plan. Each client’s CMT brand therapy Service Plan then guides the CMT brand therapy services and clinical treatment. Thisinitial plan is painstakingly developed using information about the student and family, transcripts, standardized test scores, psycho-educational reports, and results from specific vocational and psychological assessments (administered during the treatment plan process). Outcomes are measured by identifying and monitoring specific long and short-term goals acrossthe different domains (i.e., educational, vocational, life management skills, and psycho-social).
