We were elated to have musician and teacher Leonard Sherman visit us all the way from Oakland, California. Students from New Directions and from the International Society for Autism broke out their guitars, bongos were banged, and a ruckus was made.
Not only a private music teacher and instructor, Mr. Sherman also does music therapy. He was an absolute pleasure to spend the afternoon with.
You can watch a video from his website below, demonstrating a music therapy session with a special-needs population.
None of this would have been possible without the help of Erica French, director of the ISA, who facilitated Mr.Sherman‘s fun filled trip to our offices.
